Our Education Hub is the training arm of Gowrie NSW.  We provide a range of Training and Professional Development for Educators in both the childcare and before and after school care sectors. Our training includes workshops, classroom settings, one on one mentoring and video tutorials.  We also sell products/resources into the Centres to support Educators.

We are currently seeking an Indigenous Training Specialist to facilitate training and coaching to the education and care sector across New South Wales and ACT. Training and coaching are delivered via one on one, group consultancy or workshop formats within a classroom or on-site setting.

The role requires travel across NSW and ACT.

The role

The Education Consultant is responsible for facilitating training and coaching to the education and care sector across New South Wales and ACT. Training and coaching are delivered via one on one, group consultancy or workshop formats within a classroom or on-site setting.

The position entails the following:

  • Assist with growth opportunities for Gowrie NSW
  • Assist with writing tenders and expressions of interest for professional learning opportunities on behalf of Gowrie NSW
  • Provide advice, consultancy and resources on a ‘fee for service’ basis to clients on all aspects of education and care
  • Support Professional Learning by designing and delivering Gowrie NSW professional learning workshops
  • Develop Gowrie NSW resources to support the education and care sector

About you

We are seeking an Indigenous person with qualifications in early Childhood education and experience in the sector, working within a childcare service, training, or similar.

Other essential requirements for these positions are:

  • Extensive knowledge of the education and care sector including centre types and funding models;
  • Experience/understanding of planning in the sector; building and fitting out education and care centres to a high standard;
  • Sound understanding of Compliance, Regulatory and Quality Framework processes and requirements;
  • Experience in operating in a “fee for service” environment an advantage;
  • Experience in developing client focused services in line with Gowrie values;
  • Experience presenting workshops or information sessions to a group of participants
