About Gowrie Outside School Hours Care
Gowrie NSW will be the new service providers for Killara Outside School Hours Care from Tuesday 30th April. We look forward to welcoming you to our service.
Gowrie NSW OSHC (Before and After School Care) is a nurturing and engaging program designed to provide children with enriching experiences beyond the school day. We place a strong emphasis on creating a safe and inclusive environment, and we offer a diverse range of activities that cater to children's individual interests and developmental needs.

Gowrie NSW Killara Outside School Hours Care is a quality, not-for-profit before and after school care located on the grounds of Killara Public School. We cater for children from 5 years to 12 years (Kindergarten to Year 6).
We encourage children to participate in a play-based learning environment and provide a range of stimulating, fun and creative activities built on positive interactions and enriching experiences in a safe and happy environment.
Our service prides itself on the strong connections we have formed within the community and the strong relationships we have with our families and children.

Children at Killara Outside School Hours Care will enjoy a variety of planned and spontaneous experiences supporting intentional play-based learning.
Our daily program includes activities based on children’s interests including:
- craft and creativity projects
- science exploration
- construction using recycled and loose part objects
- small group games
- physical skills games
- homework support
- use of IT resources in a variety of ways to capture children’s interests in projects
- quiet, relaxation and mindfulness activities
- logical and critical thinking experiences
- collaborative and team building experiences
- clubs which promote children’s lifelong learning such as cooking, gardening and sustainability, sewing, woodworking, multicultural and social justice programs
- hands on sensory based activities including different textures and materials.
The Gowrie NSW Killara before and after school care program is delivered by a team of professional educators and support staff, dedicated to providing a high quality engaging outside school hours program in a nurturing, stimulating and supportive environment. Our educators;

We use Storypark to share updates in real time about what your child is doing. We want you to be as much a part of the experience as your child, we also don’t want you to miss a second of the memories they’re creating with us at Gowrie NSW.

For eligible families enrolled in our approved OSHC services, the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) will assist with reducing the out of pocket childcare fees for families.
- Complete the form below and the Gowrie NSW Enrolments team will advise if there are vacancies.
- Gowrie NSW Enrolments team will send through an enrolment pack which families need to complete upon enrolment to the service.
- Once the enrolment pack is completed (with all required documents provided), processed, and confirmed, families, will be provided with information on the program, policies, and procedures.
Gowrie NSW Killara Vacation Care offers an action-packed program of hands-on creativity, exploration, investigation, and fun! From art & drama to science & sports, there’s something to engage the imagination of every child, and their friends. Plus, we provide a healthy afternoon tea at no extra cost.

Meet our Program Manager
Elise Jones
Hi, I’m Elise and I am the OSHC Program Manager with background of 13 years in Education, between a variety of leadership and educational roles, including Educational Leader, Assistant director, Preschool lead educator/room leader, and currently and Centre Director. I have a great passion for working in Education and strive to support children in their individual development and successes.I strive to ensure all children under my guidance have the full capability to fulfil their learning goals through a variety of methods and I ensure inclusion and a culturally safe environment of all children during my daily practice.
