Meet the Leadership team at Gowrie NSW.
The beauty of working in an organisation the size of Gowrie NSW is that we offer a diverse range of early and middle childhood leadership jobs. We have a generous team working across more than 30 locations in NSW and the ACT. Our leaders support every corner of the organisation, nurturing our culture, caring for our people and delivering on our purpose.
In our early education and care centre director roles you’ll lead your team but also foster strong connections with the children, their families and the broader community. You’ll oversee all aspects of centre operations and be accountable for the culture at the centre. You’ll strive for excellence every day for children and families, and bring your team with you on the journey.
Whether you’re an operations manager, centre director or working in another leadership role at Gowrie NSw, you’ll have opportunities to work alongside a team of skilled professionals where collaboration is valued and expected. We create warm and inclusive educational environments where children can thrive. And we need you to make it happen.
At Gowrie NSW, you’ll enjoy all of the benefits of working in childcare. The work is meaningful, fun and flexible. But we offer so much more than that. We’re committed to our people and recognising the individual contributions they each make. Our benefits reflect that commitment.
Our benefits are the same across all of our childcare jobs, including a competitive salary and allowances for study, uniforms and relocation. You can also enjoy generous childcare discounts to help with the cost of childcare for your own family.
We also offer a positive and flexible working environment where you’re empowered to use your voice, consult collaboratively and exceed in your role. We support our people with ongoing professional development through the Gowrie NSW Education Hub. With access to resources, programs and initiatives, you can deepen your knowledge and drive your career forward.
We don’t just talk about wellbeing, we prioritise it, giving our people access to a range of resources that their whole family can access. We run a monthly reward and recognition program so there’s never any doubt about how much we appreciate the collective contribution of our team.
What we offer is so much more than a job. Your career with Gowrie will see you play a pivotal role in a for-purpose organisation with a history of more than 80 years.
In everything we do we’re caring, purposeful and inclusive, always acting with integrity and authenticity. We always keep our eyes on the prize – our vision – and advocate every day for the children in our care. When you join our team, you become part of our legacy of creating a better future for all children.
If you’re considering applying for one of our early childhood education leadership jobs, know that our people are at the heart of everything we do. We take great pride in that. And as one of our leaders, you’ll help us to bring that to life.
I highly recommend working for Gowrie NSW, I’ve been working in early childhood education and care for the past eight years, and I’ve worked for several other services before being employed by Gowrie. What stands out for me is the amount of support and learning you receive. We are currently getting support with conscious discipline to better support educators in their roles.
For our early childhood education leadership jobs, we’re looking for people who are as dedicated to lifelong learning and passionate about early childhood education as we are. You’re a people person. A team player. A natural leader. You are creative and adaptable, with a positive outlook on life. Your enthusiasm for your work shines through, evident to everyone you work with.
As a leader, you have exceptional technical skills. You hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification. You have years of experience to draw on and an intimate understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Regulations and National Quality Standards.
For compliance, you’ll need a Working with Children Check (WWCC) in NSW or a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration in the ACT. Current certificates in First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management are highly desirable.
At the heart of our culture is a deep respect for diversity and a commitment to inclusion. As an equal opportunity employer, we encourage people of all ages and cultures, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, to apply for our early childhood education leadership jobs.
